jTheme

Hello world, after weeks of tinkering I proudly present my first homemade Tumblr theme. For those who are interested I give it away under the mentioned CC license. On the left side you’ll see the download link.

I’m not a professional designer, so don’t expect that everythings works perfect (at least I tried). For questions, bug fixes or just any sort of comment on this theme please use my personal tumblelog over at web-mastered.de.

Credits:

• initial idea of creating a theme with jQuery derives from this this post (the technique is described here in detail)
• the great live search is made by Jacob DeHart (also written in jQuery)
• also I’ve used bagel’s Tumblr post icons
• several other pics are found on IconFinder (I or II)
• the color scheme is borrowed from wear palettes

Feel free to use and alter the design as you like, it has enough space for additions. Integation with Disqus isn’t a problem as you see on web-mastered.

PS: It has amazed me how simple jQuery is to handle. A lot of great plugins are available. Certainly there will come an update of jTheme…

[Update] I’ve made some minor changes to improve IE support.
